There’s only one place to go for Festival flashback this week and it’s to Bats in the Attic 2025 and Social Youth Cult.
They made a real impact when they joined us in Morecambe. They were still a relatively new band, but there was something about them live that immediately stood out, and it really felt like we were watching a band on a very definite upward trajectory.
Over the following months that continued, with more people discovering them, bigger opportunities coming their way and their name appearing increasingly often around the scene.
That’s why the announcement earlier this week that Social Youth Cult were coming to an end was such a sad one. It genuinely felt as though there was still so much more to come from them.
We’re very glad that, for a little part of their story at least, they were part of Bats in the Attic.
