Auger
Blackpool, UK · Dark rock
Formed in 2017, Auger blend electronic programming, driving guitar and melodic dark rock. The original partnership of Kyle Wilson and Kieran Thornton went on to release several albums and develop a European touring presence.
Auger were already familiar to the Corrosion audience, having previously played at the club nights in Morecambe, so it made sense to invite them back for the first festival.
The Blackpool band were still performing in their original two-piece format, with Kyle Wilson on vocals and Kieran Thornton on guitar. Their mixture of electronic music, strong melodies and driving guitars had already begun to attract attention on the UK dark alternative circuit.
Since appearing at CorrosionFest 2020, Auger have gone on to establish themselves much more widely across Europe, with a new line up, further albums and regular touring on the continent.
It's been particularly good to watch their progression from those early Corrosion appearances to the band they've become today.
